Notes in the list
The list attaches these official footnotes to this entry. The German text is the source; the English line is our translation.
Note 1 (our translation): Holders of national passports of the states that do not need a visa to enter Germany (entry: "Nein") may, in principle, stay in federal territory without a visa for no longer than 90 days in any period of 180 days. They also may not take up gainful employment during this period. Germany has concluded bilateral visa waiver agreements with certain states, which may allow a stay in Germany longer than 90 days in any period of 180 days. Further information is on the websites of the German missions abroad in the states concerned.
Note 4 (our translation): Residence titles (also for stays of more than 90 days) can be applied for after visa-free entry if no gainful employment is taken up.
